Andre Schurrle 2 Germany

A round up of transfer stories this morning about Chelsea.

Atletico Madrid will reportedly sell two more players to fund a move for Chelsea midfielder Andre Schurrle.

A Bola claims Diego Simeone will sell two of Cristian Rodriguez, Joshua Guilavogui and Emiliano Insua to fund an £18 million pursuit of Schurrle.

Schurrle played well for Germany in a successful World Cup campaign in Brazil.

Former Chelsea target Eliaquim Mangala is expected to complete a move to Manchester City in the next 48 hours.

The £32 million rated FC Porto defender was thought to be a priority target for Jose Mourinho this summer but a deal never came about.

The 23-year-old was thought to be due to return to training with Porto but an agreement is reportedly close.

Christian Atsu’s proposed loan move to Everton is thought to have broken down.

The Blues reportedly wanted guarantees over playing time for the wide man, which Everton were not able to provide.

Chelsea are thought to have wanted a clause in the deal which would have allowed them to recall the player in January.
