A selection of the latest transfer news involving Liverpool Football Club this Wednesday morning.

Liverpool could bring in another goalkeeper during this transfer window according to the Liverpool Echo as Pepe Reina is set to depart the club for Bayern Munich.

The writing has been on the wall surrounding Reina's future for a while after a loan spell at Napoli last season, along with not being used at all during the club's pre-season tour of the USA.

The fee for the Spaniard is said to be around £2 million, but the Echo suggests the current number two goalkeeper at Anfield in Brad Jones isn't sufficient competition or back-up to Simon Mignolet.

Sevilla's Alberto Moreno is happy to take a pay cut to join Liverpool according to Marca. The Spanish newspaper is reporting that Moreno could be on Merseyside by the end of the week as the Reds solve a problem position by landing their number one left-back target from this summer.

An announcement regarding the signing of Javier Manquillo from Atletico Madrid seems to be close after pictures of the defender have emerged on twitter of the 20-year-old seemingly at a hospital in Liverpool - presumably where he underwent a medical.

Manquillo is set to join the Reds on loan with the club having an option to buy towards the end of the loan deal.

Marca reported that Manquillo travelled to Merseyside on Monday.

The arrival of new full-backs doesn't appear to cast doubt on the futures of Glen Johnson and Jose Enrique according to manager Brendan Rodgers, who seemingly wants more reinforcements in the full-back positions.

He told the Liverpool Echo: “As for the full-back areas, it’s more about depth really. We needed reinforcements and hopefully we can achieve that before the start of the season.”
