There’s been a couple of leaks about Ubisoft’s final last gen Assassin’s Creed title - Assassin’s Creed Rogue – over the past few days, and it seems they’ve bitten the bullet and just come out with an official announcement. The game will be released on 11th November for PS3 and Xbox 360, a couple of weeks after the studio’s current gen game Assassin’s Creed Unity.
Set in the mid-18th century, Assassin’s Creed Rogue casts players as Shay Patrick Cormac, an assassin turned Templar who is on the hunt for his former assassin brethren. The game’s ship sailing features have been improved too, and you can explore some new locations across North America such as; New York City, the Appalachian River, and the North Atlantic.
In a press release Martin Capel, game director at Ubisoft Sofia, said; ‘We know that there are many Assassin’s Creed fans with Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles who want to get their hands on a new Assassin’s Creed game this year. Assassin’s Creed Rogue completes the North American saga started with Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag and gives previous generation console owners an exclusive opportunity to experience fan-requested features, such as playing as a Templar.’
