It's no secret that President Barack Obama often shows up late to scheduled engagements. In fact, the president's tardiness has been well-documented in media reports and #WhyObamaIsLate and #HowLateWasObama have become popular hashtags among Twitter users.
For example, Obama was reportedly more than an hour late to a news conference after the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit on Wednesday.
Based on public data posted on the White House website, President Obama has been a cumulative 35 hours and 21 minutes late to scheduled speaking events in 2014, The Washington Post reported Thursday.
According to the report, the president has kept his audiences waiting for an average of 11 minutes.
More specifically, the report found Obama's lateness tends to spike toward the middle of the week as with Wednesdays and Thursdays being his worst days.
On a cumulative basis, Obama arrived about 800 minutes late during the months of February and July.
