Zack Snyder defends Aquaman, but he’s not in his new movie

The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director came to the King of Atlantis' defense on the CBS Detroit radio show.

The new Batman v Superman has had its fair share of news and leaks recently, and one of the rumours centres around the appearance of Aquaman in the movie. Rumours say that the King of Atlantis will be played by Jason Momoa, who appeared as Khal Drogo Game of Thrones.

During a radio show on CBS Detroit, the hosts began to make fun of Aquaman, which prompted the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director, Zack Snyder, to call in and set them straight. Thanks ComingSoon.net;

‘You guys were disparaging, a little bit, Aquaman,’ Snyder said. ‘...I don't want to give anything away about the movie or anything like that, but Aquaman has some cool abilities. People are like, 'Oh what? Does he talk to animals? Because that seems like what he does. Or fish?' The cool thing with Aquaman is his Trident, so you have to realize that could cut the flesh of Superman if they came in contact. That's a thing that's in the canon. He's super strong because, of course, he can exist at these super deep depths. So when he comes up here, he's crazy strong. Anyway, not to say he's in my movie or anything like that, but he has the potential to be bad ass, that's all I’m saying.’

You can listen to Zack calling up the radio show here.

With Zack being so ready to call in to a radio show and defend Aquaman, it does feel like a confirmation of the character being in Dawn of Justice, but we’ll obviously have to wait for official confirmation to be 100% sure.
