Manchester United have already made several great additions in the transfer market with Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw both arriving at Old Trafford.
However Louis van Gaal has not given up there. The club still need a central defender and they are of course continually being linked with the signature of Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal.
The Chilean star is said to be a £45 million target for The Red Devils and while Juventus maintain he is not for sale they have also claimed if he asks for a move, they will let him leave.
So far there has been nothing concrete in these reports, for now it remains pure conjecture, but it is now generally believed that the interest is indeed genuine.
Which has some people worried, including a former Manchester United player, and current Vidal team-mate. Paul Pogba was at United as a youngster, after being controversially signed from Le Havre. But after failing to get into the United first-team he left, joining Juve on a free transfer in the summer of 2012.
Now he is rated as one of Europe's top midfielders, forging an excellent partnership with Vidal.
And speaking to reporters this weekend the Bianconeri star was obviously keen to stress his belief, that Vidal must stay with the Old Lady:
"Of course (we want him at Juventus), I hope he will stay. He's injured at the moment and he's trying to get fit. We want him to stay at Juventus. For the moment he is here so we won't speak about him leaving."
Vidal suffered a knee injury before the World Cup, which needed surgery, and his decision to rush back seems to have cost him - as he is currently sidelined.
United are said to have concerns over his injuries, which is reportedly one factor holding up a deal.
If Pogba gets his way Vidal will not be United bound - but after the way Pogba turned his back on United, most fans will be hoping to upset the French international by taking his midfield partner away from him.
Can United break Vidal and Pogba apart?
