Earlier this week, reports emerged in Italy that West Brom were closing in on Parma speedster Jonathan Biabiany.
The former Inter man has impressed at the Stadio Tardini after never hitting the highs at San Siro as a youngster, bagging 14 goals and assists each for the Ducali over the past three seasons.
And the Baggies have reportedly seen fit to make a concrete move for his signature, with plenty of interest from other clubs of late yet to fully develop into formal offers.
Three days ago Sky Sport Italia claimed that talks to bring the French winger to The Hawthorns had reached an advanced stage with a €6 million offer on the table.
Meanwhile, on Friday Biabiany took to Instagram to post a picture of his departure from Italy for England - but not for personal talks with West Brom.
The Frenchman posed with team-mates Afriyie Acquah, Cristobal Jorquera and Pedro Mendes on a plane bound for Birmingham Airport ahead of Parma’s weekend friendly against Aston Villa.
Biabiany appears relaxed alongside his fellow Ducali men even as an exit to West Brom looks a distinct possibility.
The Baggies will seemingly have to up their offer if they are to have the 26-year-old permanently stay in the West Midlands as part of their cause, however.

Italian transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that Parma are holding out for €10 million for Biabiany, having deemed West Brom’s €6 million offer too low.
They’ll seemingly get the chance to have a close look at Biabiany on Saturday as he faces their local rivals at Villa Park before deciding whether or not to splash the cash to meet Parma’s demands.
