Here is a look at how the two teams line-up:
Nottingham Forest: Darlow, Harding, Mancienne, Hunt, Fox, Cohen, Fryatt, Reid, Burke, Antonio, Assombalonga.
Subs: De Vries, Lichaj, Hobbs, Vedwijk, Paterson, Osborn, McLaughlin.
Blackpool: Lewis, McMahon, Clarke, Daniels, Perkins, Lundstram, Mellis, Cywka, Orlandi, Zenjov, Delfouneso.
Subs: Parish, Dunn, Waddington, Telford.
Stuart Pearce will lead his side out at the City Ground ahead of a season of promise for the former European champions.
"I will be very proud. I will be so proud, in fact, that I popped to the club shop and brought two ties," he told reporters ahead of the game. "I have a choice of which one I am going to wear."
Pearce has chosen to start goalkeeper Karl Darlow, who completed his move to Newcastle United earlier today but will stay at Forest on loan this term, while there are also places for new signings Michail Antonio and Britt Assombalonga.
Blackpool, meanwhile, will hope to get life under new boss Jose Riga off to a good start after a turbulent summer.
Before last week, the club did not even have 11 registered players on their books, though they have now assembled a squad big enough to face Forest.
However, Blackpool are odds on for relegation from the Championship and have only been able to name four substitutes. New signing Ishmael Miller misses out as he has not been registered yet.
