Manchester United signing Luke Shaw is excited to feature in his first home game for his new club.
Shaw, signed for £30 million from Southampton several weeks ago, has played for the Red Devils regularly on pre-season in the US, and will get his chance to play at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
United take on Valencia in their final pre-season game, and it gives new signings Shaw and Ander Herrera the chance to familiarise themselves with their new home ground before they kick the season off against Swansea City on Saturday.
Shaw told MUTV: "As a kid, it’s a dream to play at Old Trafford, It’s one of the biggest arenas in the world, you would say.
"To know it’s going to be my home ground is something special. I can’t wait to get my first touch on the pitch just to relish it."
The left-back possesses a real determination to succeed, adding how he aims to go on and win trophies this coming season.
Shaw, 19, did play for Southampton at the stadium last season, but only as a substitute in the final 12 minutes, and wearing a United shirt, it will be completely different.
The home friendly with Valencia will be crucial in helping himself and Herrera getting any last minute nerves out of the way, and ensuring there are no unknowns ahead of them when the season kicks off days later.
