Arsenal triumphed at the Community Shield against a drab Manchester City side, who offered little in terms of a threat to the confident Gunners.
Santi Cazorla, Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud netted in the 3-0 victory, making it six goals in two matches at Wembley for Arsenal, who beat Hull City in the FA Cup in May.
Arsenal fans took it upon themselves, after Giroud scored his second half goal, to celebrate in a way Manchester City have adopted of their own in recent seasons.
Ever since playing Polish side Lech Poznan in Europe a number of seasons ago, fans came back imitating their unique style of celebration, turning their backs to the pitch and jumping up and down arm in arm.
Arsenal fans are not the first side to mock City with the celebration, but they took great pride in rubbing salt in the wounds of the Premier League champions, who had travelled to London to watch their side go down with barely a whimper.
