Guarin faces Euro snub, may hand Manchester United bargain

Fredy Guarin

There are rumours that Inter may leave midfielder Fredy Guarin out of their Europa League squad, which could allow a cut-price Manchester United swoop.

The pressure is rising on Colombian international Fredy Guarin to end his increasingly unhappy spell at Inter and Manchester United could see him as a cheaper alternative if Arturo Vidal slips away.

The talented midfielder has been at odds with Inter since he all but joined Juventus in January, only to see a deal collapse at the last minute.

While Guarin has returned to the fold, his commitment to the Inter cause has been questionable and he has been linked to several other clubs.

According to Rai Sport, Guarin and Argentine centre-back Hugo Campagnaro face being left out of the squad list for the Europa League that Inter must send to UEFA.

If coach Walter Mazzarri opts to cut Guarin then it would be a clear sign that his time at Inter is drawing to a close and could give his suitors the chance of a bargain.

Manchester United have been linked with Guarin in the past, but their attention is currently on Arturo Vidal.

However, Guarin could represent a cut-price fallback option and may be available for under a fifth of the price Juventus want for their Chilean star.

Guarin is also said to be on the radars of Zenit Saint Petersburg, Rubin Kazan, Wolfsburg and Dinamo Moscow.

Would Fredy Guarin be a good Arturo Vidal alternative for Manchester United?
