Microsoft announce new Halo channel at Gamescom

New channel to offer up a Halo-centric hub to watch the upcoming Halo: Nightfall mini-series and share your greatest Halo moments

Microsoft and 343 Industries have revealed plans to bring a new Halo Channel to Xbox One and Windows PCs. Heralded as an "all-new interactive digital network", users will be able to watch original Halo content, explore the Halo universe and hook-up with friends on the channel.

"The Halo Channel enables you to seamlessly transition between Halo games and other Halo experiences," said Microsoft in a statement.

Currently due to appear on the channel will be episodes of the Halo: Nightfall series. Gamers will also be able to play Halo:The Master Chief Collection through the service.

The Halo Channel will also feature Twitch integration, whereby players will be able to broadcast their gameplay and watch feeds from the Halo community, such as walkthroughs, speed runs and competitive multiplayer matches.
