A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United

The Marcos Rojo transfer saga rumbles on, with the group that helped fund his earlier deal from Spartak Moscow to Sporting Lisbon making a statement about the player’s proposed move to Manchester United.

The Argentine defender was reportedly the subject of a €20million bid from United earlier this week, a bid allegedly prompting the player to act in such a way that Sporting president Bruno de Carvalho spoke of disciplinary proceedings.

However Doyen Sports, which helped fund 75 per cent of Rojo’s previous transfer, has now released a lengthy statement which has since been picked up by Inside Futbol.

The suggestion is that if Sporting reject the bid, they may have to pay compensation to the fund that initially aided Rojo’s move from Russia.

In other news, the London Evening Standard claims Daley Blind has been spotted house-hunting in the North West after suggestions he could move to United.

However, that goes against claims that Louis van Gaal’s side has yet to make an official bid for a player who starred at this summer’s World Cup.

Back to Inside Futbol now, which suggests Ander Lindegaard could be on his way out of Old Trafford.

Quotes from his agent, to TV2, hint that the Danish player may be done playing second-fiddle to David de Gea.”

“Anders has reached the age where he has to play a little more,” said Michael Stensgaard.

“Therefore, we will go out and explore the prospects for a little more playing time.”

Do United really need both Rojo and Blind?
