Report: Inter refuse Juventus bid for Tottenham target Guarin

Fredy Guarin

Inter have reportedly turned down a bid from Juventus for Fredy Guarin that would have seen Sebastian Giovinco move the other way.

Colombian international Fredy Guarin is on his way out at Inter but a deal with Juventus seems to be some way off.

The talented midfielder has also been linked to Manchester United and Tottenham but Juventus seem to be making the first move.

Guarin came very close to joining Juve back in January when Inter agreed a part-exchange deal including Mirko Vucinic, but the San Siro side pulled out late on, possibly due to uproar from fans who didn't want the star to leave.

Now everyone appears to accept that Guarin's future lies elsewhere, but Inter aren't going to sell cheaply.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Inter have rebuffed a bid of just under £4 million plus Sebastian Giovinco from Juventus.

Giovinco, who has also been linked to Tottenham as well as Arsenal, has come back into the Juventus fold somewhat in pre-season after a frustrating 2013-14, but he may still welcome a move.

Former Juventus boss Antonio Conte didn't see Giovinco as a starter and the diminutive forward spent much of last year warming the bench while Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente formed a lethal partnership.

However, Inter seem to be holding out for a larger cash offer and that may open the door for Manchester United or Tottenham.

Manchester United may be keeping Guarin as a fallback option should their attempts to lure Juventus star Arturo Vidal prove unsuccessful.
