A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United…
Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha is being tipped to join Queens Park Rangers on a one-year loan deal.
That is the claim of the Sun, following earlier suggestions that the former Crystal Palace player’s immediate future could be away from United.
Zaha was given hope that he had a place in Louis van Gaal’s plans this season, but only if he adapted to play as a front-man.
But the latest report suggests he could be joining Harry Redknapp’s side, where he may prove once and for all that he deserves a regular starting-berth in the Premier League.
In other news, Portuguese newspaper Record reports that negotiations between United and Sporting Lisbon regarding the future of Marcos Rojo could continue despite the presence of Doyen Sports, the company which helped fund 75% of the Argentine’s move to the Portuguese capital.
Stories yesterday hinted that any move for Rojo would be severely hindered by the presence of third-party ownership. However, the rumours persist that a deal could be finalised in due course.
Is Rojo the answer to United's defensive issues? Should Zaha go back on loan?
