West Ham United recently completed the signing of striker Diafra Sakho from French side FC Metz for an undisclosed fee.
And now the player has posed with his new manager and the shirt he will be pulling on this season.
Sakho is a Senegal international who scored 20 goals in 38 appearances last season, playing a huge role in his former club’s promotion to Ligue 1.
The 24-year-old has agreed a four-year deal and will be hoping to form an effective strike partnership with fellow new signing Enner Valencia.
Speaking to West Ham’s television station following his move, the player said, “I’ve come here to continue as I was at Metz. I’m going to give it my all, flat out on the pitch and I think the fans will appreciate that.”
With Andy Carroll side-lined yet again, Sam Allardyce will be hoping Valencia and Sakho hit the ground running as the Hammers look to build on what was ultimately an impressive previous season.
