Pinkerton Road Studios and Phoenix Online Studios have released a new trailer for their remake of the point and click classic from the 90s.

Remember when we brought the first screenshots of the Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers remake? No? OK, well it was about 5 months ago. Anyway, now a new trailer and screenshots have been released in the name of Gamescom, hoorah.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Gabriel Knight games, it’s basically a series of point and click adventure games from the 90s that revolve around bookstore owner and author, Gabriel Knight. Gabriel gets involved in some supernatural investigations and goings on, whilst trying to become inspired for his new horror novel, which in turn causes him to become embroiled in the whole voodoo affair.

The trailer below gives us a look at how the visuals are shaping up, and lets us see some gameplay footage. Familiar locations and characters can be seen, which all appear to be true to the original, but obviously with a huge makeover. Take a look!

Head on over to the website for a look at a load of newly released screenshots too.

There doesn’t appear to be any word on a release date yet, but Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers 20th Anniversary Edition is due to be available on PC, Mac, iPad, and Android.
