Chelsea stars thrilled with opening win.

Chelsea stars took to Twitter to talk up how great they felt after clinching a win in their Premier League opener.

The Blues beat Burnley with goals from Diego Costa, Andre Schurrle and Branislav Ivanovic, with man-of-the-match Cesc Fabregas providing two assists.

Thibaut Courtois was selected in goal, with Jose Mourinho saying he wants Petr Cech to stay and fight for his place.

Captain John Terry said after the game: "We're hoping to win the league. That's our target this year. This league is going to be really tough and we've seen some quality at the weekend from many teams, but importantly we picked up three points tonight and we'll move on to the next."

The match at Burnley was a potential banana skin for the Blues, seen by many as favourites to win the Premier League.

There will be sides who slip up at Turf Moor this season, and it is testament to Chelsea's class that they made the victory seem so straightforward.
