Juventus reject Valencia’s Llorente advances

Juventus 2

Juventus are believed to have turned down an £8 million offer from Valencia for striking star Fernando Llorente.

It is being reported in Italy that Juventus have fended off an approach for Fernando Llorente from Spanish side Valencia.

The 29-year-old signed for the Old Lady this time last year from Athletic Bilbao and he enjoyed a successful first season in Serie A.

Llorente found the net 16 times in 34 outings and formed a deadly strike partnership with Carlos Tevez, which guided Juventus to the Italian title.

There have been reports that Juventus may offload Llorente this summer in order to sign Radamel Falcao from Monaco, but that seems less likely as it has emerged that the Bianconeri have resisted a bid for the Spaniard.

During La Domenica Sportiva on Rai, it was revealed that Llorente had been the subject of a bid of just over £8m from Valencia, but Juventus rejected it out of hand.

According to sources on the show, Juventus have declared Llorente off limits for any transfer bids and won't be selling him this summer.

Juventus have already made a significant striking coup this summer in signing Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid for £15.8 million.

However, unfortunately for the Turin giants, Morata sustained a knee injury in his very first training session and will be out for between one and two months.

Should Juventus sell off Fernando Llorente?
