13 days until the transfer window closes: Here are the ongoing deals you need to know about...
Manchester United move for Rojo close
Manchester United are widely reported to be closing in on a deal for Argentine defender Marcos Rojo of Sporting Lisbon. Negotiations are ongoing, with Italian transfer guru Gianluca di Marzio reporting the defender has agreed a four-year-deal with the Red Devils. The deal is however reported to be dependent on Nani, with the winger said to be part of the agreement to head in the other direction. The Mirror write that the Portuguese international 'potentially holds the key to the deal going ahead.' Whether the winger will settle for going back to his former club is unclear, but it is reported widely that he has no future under a frustrated Louis van Gaal at Manchester United.
Arsenal Manolas latest
Arsenal have identified Kostas Manolas as their 'most realistic target', report The Telegraph. It had been reported by Goal that the defender was to undergo a medical with the Gunners, but progress is not thought to be that far advanced. The paper insist that Manolas could cost as little as £6 million up front, but the player is yet undecided on whether to make the move. As a regular for Olympiakos and Greek international, Manolas, 23, is said to be unsure whether he wants to stay and play, or move to a club where he will spend most of his season on the substitute's bench.
QPR to win race for Vargas?
Arsenal had been linked with a deal for Eduardo Vargas of Napoli, but it appears he is bound for another London side instead. The Times report that he is to sign a loan deal with QPR instead, choosing Harry Redknapp's side ahead of Sunderland who also showed an interest.
Should Manolas choose Arsenal? Would you blame him if he didn't?
