Bethesda reveal a full hour of gameplay from The Evil Within offering a deeper look into Shinji Mikami's survival horror

The hour-long footage from Shinji Mikami and Tango Gameworks’ upcoming survival horror The Evil Within shows some of the action from the game’s ninth chapter, entitled “The Cruelest Intentions.”

Controlling Sebastian Castellanos in the video is Bethesda’s Pete Hines, playing on a PS4.

The footage offers a look a how the story progresses in the later stages of the game. You can also see some of the combat, the puzzles and the game’s lavish goriness.

 

The Evil within will be releasing in October following a set-back to the planned August launch while the devs “further balance and refine the game.”

Recently Bethesda revealed a season pass is on offer which will get players discounted access to planned DLC for The Evil Within. With the game’s add-ons you’ll be able to take the role of The Keeper (a.k.a. Boxman) and Castellanos’ partner Julie Kidman.

The Evil Within will finally release on October 14th in North America and October 17th in Europe. The game will be available for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
