Schurrle was instrumental to Chelsea's triumph over Burnley at Turf Moor on Monday night football.

Schurrle, buoyed from the feeling of receiving of a heroes welcome in his native Germany after helping his nation lift the World Cup trophy in Brazil last month, forged an intuitive partnership with playmaking midfielder Francesc Fabregas - underline by the assist from Cesc which capitalised on his clever run and finish.

The 23-year-old, who was on the cusp of regular first-team status last season, made a strong case for a second successive start when Chelsea host Leicester City on Saturday, August 23 at Stamford Bridge and the German press were quick to comment on his contributions.

Kicker stated that the three points were "thanks to Schurrle" as he "turned to the fantastic direct pass from Fabregas" in order to score after just 23 minutes.
