Dennaton Games and Devolver Digital's sequel to the popular Hotline Miami has seen some in-game footage leaked online.

The leaked Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number footage is over on the LennyReviews YouTube Channel, and shows in excess of an hours' gameplay footage.

Hotline Miami was released in 2012, and is a top-down action game set in an 80s world, complete with the visual and audio style of the decade. Using twitch gameplay, you run through levels dispatching enemies by whatever means you can. Cue plenty of violence, slightly confusing story, and amazing soundtrack.

In Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number the story takes place before and after the events of the first game. The same top-down, fast-paced gameplay is returning, but with added features such as 'hard mode', characters having unique abilities, and also a level editor.

In the footage below we can see plenty of what I've described above, along with the return of those 80s sounds. If you've never played Hotline Miami, don't be fooled by it's simplistic graphical style, the game oozed panache, and the soundtrack gets you right in the mood for clearing out those levels.

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number doesn't have a released date yet, but it's expected before the end of this year.
