Liverpool loanee Joao Teixeira made an early impact for Brighton in their away win at Leeds, scoring in just the fifth minute.
Teixeira started on the left wing, and had three shots on goal in total, more than any of his teammates.
He provided two key passes, and made four successful dribbles, a combination which nobody else in the Brighton side topped.
It was not all flair, with the 21-year-old getting stuck in and making two tackles and one interception, most useful in Brighton battling away to the important away victory.
The goal came in Teixeira's first start for Brighton, having come on as a substitute in their loss to Birmingham at the weekend.
A signing from Sporting Lisbon in 2012, Teixeira's initial progress at Liverpool was hampered by injury. Last season however he made his Premier League debut for the Reds in the 3-2 away win at Fulham, but a splurge on summer signings has made his chances of regular football more difficult.
Last week he clinched a season long loan to Brighton, and scoring a crucial goal on his first start is a great way to begin his adventure on the south coast.
Can Teixeira be a force at Liverpool next season?
