Mauriccio Pochettino revealed that the four are in contention to play some part in Thursday night's game.

Tottenham's World Cup quartet have all travelled to AEL Limassol in Cyprus and could be available to take part in the Europa League First Leg Playoff match against the Mediterranean side.

Mousa Dembele, Nacer Chadli, Jan Vertonghen and Paulinho are yet to feature in any friendly games since Mauricio Pochettino took charge at White Hart Lane, also sitting out the opening Premier League game against West Ham.

The Belgian trio and Paulinho are the last group of players to return to the club after the showpiece competition in Brazil this summer.

Belgium lost in the quarter finals while the host nation bowed out in spectacular fashion to eventual winners Germany in the semifinals, also losing the 3rd place playoff game the day before the final.

Injured pair Vlad Chirches and Kyle Walker remain out while Michel Vorm continues his personalised schedule before being available for first team selection.

“It’s good news and there is a possibility that some of them could play,” said Pochettino ahead of training at the Antonis Papadopoulos Stadium in Larnaca on Wednesday. There are reports that as many as 2500 away fans have travelled to the game, while a local Spurs supporters club are also set to attend.
