Manchester United transfer target Arturo Vidal has received recognition for his performances.
Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has revealed his delight at being chosen to star on the cover of FIFA 15 in it's South American edition alongside Lionel Messi.
While even further commercial benefits may make him more attractive to linked club Manchester United, the Red Devils are yet to make a bid for him this summer.
It is impressive that he has beaten the likes of two top South American stars in Barcelona duo Neymar and Luis Suarez in being chosen to feature on the cover, and perhaps EA Sports wanted to avoid having one of Lionel Messi's teammates alongside him - but they could easily have chosen World Cup sensation, new Real Madrid signing James Rodriguez instead.
United fans will note Vidal is wearing a Juventus shirt on the cover, so does this mean he will be staying in Turin once and for all?
Not exactly. Last year on the European edition, EA Sports announce Gareth Bale would star on the cover, picturing him in a Tottenham shirt.
This was later changed to the Welshman wearing a Real Madrid kit, and it's fair to wonder whether they have a mock-up ready of Vidal in a Manchester United shirt tucked away just in case.
FIFA 14 cover features Bale in Spurs kit. Bit of a risk from EA Sports. Why not just stick with Rooney? Oh..... pic.twitter.com/c9fAflaQIN— Graham Ruthven (@grahamruthven) July 15, 2013
