Chelsea transfer news: Italy media - Destro wants Blues, Jose cold as ice and more

Mourinho Press Conference Still

All the latest Chelsea transfer news and rumours including reports from Italy that Mattia Destro wants to move, a Fernando Torres swap and a Mourinho video.

Chelsea's name continues to be linked with Real Madrid star Sami Khedira despite a snowballing unlikelihood that the German World Cup winner will transfer to Stamford Bridge in the current transfer window.

Regardless, MARCA believe there is a "silent war" between the 27-year-old and his current employers, Real Madrid, who believe the player could have already struck up a deal with another club.

Chelsea are, of course, one of three reportedly interested parties in the player's signature - along with Arsenal and Bayern Munich. And there was speculation that Jose Mourinho had been in contact with the defensive midfielder over a move… albeit one next summer, when he'd be available on a free.

In Corriere dello Sport there is positivity over the prospective transfer of Mattia Destro to Chelsea.

They write: "Destro wants Chelsea but Roma want to keep him," however, the player's agent Renzo Contratto has dismissed the rumours. "They have no foundation."

The Daily Mail believe they do.

The British paper claim Roma have enquired about Fernando Torres, with Destro being offered in what could be a potential swap deal.
