A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United

Reports linking Angel Di Maria with a move to Manchester United went into overdrive on Saturday evening. And they show no signs of abating.

After United reportedly refused to comment on the continuing links, the Telegraph now claims United are in advanced talks to sign the Argentine international next week.

The same paper claims Louis van Gaal is hoping to bring in three new players before the following weekend – with Mehdi Benatia and Daley Blind also said to be high on the club’s agenda.

The Di Maria move could ultimately cost £60million, but if the player can replicate his form at Real Madrid it would be money very well spent.

In other news, the Mirror reports that Danny Welbeck is keen to join Tottenham Hotspur either on loan or in a permanent move.

The England international is said to be surplus to requirements at Old Trafford and could be sold for a fee in the region of £15million.

And finally, the Daily Star has picked up on reports from Italy which claim United have made a second bid for Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal.

This offer is said to include an unnamed player, believed to be either Javier Hernandez or Welbeck.

Is Di Maria worth the reported £60m it could take to sign him?
