All the latest transfer news and gossip from the past 24 hours at The Emirates.
It looks as though Arsenal will have to delve into the transfer market in the striking department after recent scan results on the foot injury suffered by Olivier Giroud at Goodison Park. Just minutes after Giroud had scored a final minute equaliser for The Gunners he was injured attempting to block a Sylvain Distin clearance.
He has broken a bone in his ankle and is not believed to be looking at a return before the New Year - leaving Arsene Wenger short on his already light striking options.
A number of names have also been out forward. Firstly there is QPR striker Loic Remy. He is available at a fee of around £8.5 million but recently failed a medical at Liverpool, which could test Arsenal's resolve.
Then there is Danny Welbeck. Manchester United have reportedly told the England international he can depart. But after his performance against MK Dons last night, Arsenal may be having second thoughts on his suitability.
Then there is the sublime and ridiculous rumours. First there is Radamel Falcao. He wants a move from AS Monaco this summer but in particular wants Real Madrid. However, he would represent an extortionate investment - even if just a season long loan.
Then there is Nikola Zigic. The former Birmingham City man has been linked with an Arsenal switch in Serbia. The giant striker was released by Brum at the end of last season and is reportedly set for a medical with The Gunners today. Pinch of salt required for this one.
Finally there is of course Edinson Cavani, taking the tally of currently linked names to five. But come tomorrow expect to see the usual suspects, Jackson Martinez, Wilfried Bony etc, all join the list.
Finally, if you missed it, Arsenal missed out on Greek international defender Kostas Manolas as a Thomas Vermaelen replacement. With that in mind attention has now passed to Toby Alderweireld of Atletico Madrid and Winston Reid of West Ham.
Who should replace Giroud?
