Yager Development talks about their take on the Dead Island universe for the next gen.

Eurogamer bagged themselves a interview with the Dead Island 2 developers, Yager Development, and in the process also brought along a nice 10 minute look at some new in-game footage.

In the video below we hear from the game's Design Director, Jorg Friedrich, as he talks about what Yager Development is bringing to the franchise.

Friedrich talks about how they initially wanted to bring a darker, edgier feel to the game, but when they began to watch what people were doing in the first Dead Island, they realised a more fun and less-serious outlook is where they would go with it.

Take a look at the video below to hear more about how Dead Island 2 is going to take advantage of next gen too.

Dead Island 2 is slated for a spring 2015 release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
