Manchester United have apparently not yet given up of signing Arturo Vidal, with The Mail reporting in the past 24 hours he is their next top target after signing Angel di Maria.
Juventus have publicly repeated the midfielder is not for sale, but if United's money is right then there is still a possibility a deal can be done for the Chilean international.
There is one indication that Juventus may be making plans, via the comments of Fredy Guarin's agent, who has revealed he expects his client to move from Inter Milan to the Serie A champions.
Guarin had been subject of an offer from Zenit St Petersburg, but he is ready to reject the opportunity.
Marcelo Ferreyra told Italian radio station Rai Sport: "It is true that an offer came from Zenit for €12 million but we still wait. For the moment, Fredy has said no, he expects a move from Juventus".
Guarin came close to sealing a move to Juventus in January but a deal fell through as it was a swap deal involving Mirko Vucinic, who Inter decided at the last minute they did not want to sign.
The Colombian midfielder has even speculatively been linked with Manchester United in recent days, as throughout the year on and off, but it is our consideration that there is no interest from the Red Devils in the player.
The comments from his agent suggest that Juventus may be preparing to make a late move to sign him should they sell Vidal.
They have already added Romulo from Hellas Verona to play in central midfield, and should Guarin be added too it will ensure they have enough cover to replace Vidal and still spend on a striker, as their fans crave.
Gazzetta dello Sport revealed yesterday that Vidal's agent was in Manchester to talk over a deal, and while there is nothing yet between the two clubs, the suggestion from Guarin adds credibility to the expectation a last minute deal could be done.
