£15m United winger confirms he is 'back' at former club before official announcement

Wilfried Zaha playing for Crystal Palace

Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha has had a bit of a moment on Twitter this afternoon. Confirming his Crystal Palace return a little early.

Manchester United snapped up Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace in a deal worth £15 million back in January of 2013. He was immediately loaned back to Selhurst Park and helped them earn promotion to the Premier League.

But his time at Old Trafford has been a struggle. He failed to make an impression on new boss David Moyes and the 21-year-old it would seem has not impressed his latest coach, Louis van Gaal.

So it looks like he is on his way back to Crystal Palace, where his former boss Neil Warnock is back in charge. Contrary to popular belief Warnock never gave Zaha his Palace debut, it was in fact his replacement caretaker manager Paul Hart he bestowed him that honour in 2010 - but the new Palace boss is still a big fan of Zaha and has moved to bring him back down south.

And Zaha himself has confirmed the move - although he did so a little bit early. He posted this on Twitter on Thursday afternoon, as rumours mounted a deal was imminent.

But his loan deal had not yet been officially announced by the club. But, rest assured, Zaha will be leaving Manchester United on loan shortly.

Is a loan to Palace the best move for Zaha?
