Counter Strike livestreamer is raided by SWAT team live on air

Kootra Swatted Counter Strike

This 'swatting' prank is just totally out of hand.

'Swatting' is a prank in which the police are hoax-called, causing a SWAT team to be called out, as a means to cause disruption and just generally troll someone.

YouTube channel, The Creatures, is the latest victim of the prank - when live-streaming some Counter Strike gameplay, the channel's founder, Jordan Mathewson (aka Kootra), was interupted by a SWAT raid.

In the footage of the incident below, you'll see the moment the SWAT team enters the room with guns drawn, shouting at Mathewson to get on the ground. Thanks, Eurogamer.

7 News Denver reported that the police were responding to an anonymous call; 'The caller claimed to have shot two co-workers, held others hostage, and threatened to shoot them. He stated that if the officers entered he would shoot them as well,' said Littleton Police Department.

It's not surprising a SWAT team gets called in when a caller claims to have done such things, and it must be pretty damn frightening to be met with a full team of gun-toting police in your office. Let's hope the prankster is caught.
