Estaban Cambiasso to complete Leicester move

Estaban Cambiasso will complete a move to Leicester City, according to reports in Italy.

The Argentine legend has been on the verge of a move to the King Power Stadium, but it has taken a while to go through whilst the 34-year-old contemplated his options.

However, it seems he has made his mind up now and the move is set to be completed within the next 24 hours, with his arrival at Leicester being a huge boost to the club.

Bryan Jones back Jack Grealish to be a success

Aston Villa academy director Bryan Jones has backed Jack Grealish to be a success.

The Irish youth international is considered Villa’s brightest youth prospect and the man who guided him into the first-team believes that he can live up to his current promise.

“Performance-wise he was outstanding [over pre-season] and you just hope he can produce that at Villa Park in the next couple of years because he has got something special,” Jones said.

“I’ve got high hopes for him for the future but we need to be patient.”

Ryan Shotton excited by loan

Ryan Shotton says that he intends to be a team player during his loan spell at Derby County.

The Stoke City defender joined the Rams on loan this week, but admits that he doesn’t expect to get straight into the team upon his arrival.

“I’m not coming here expecting to start,” he said.

“It’s a squad game and a squad will get us promoted."

“If that’s the case, I’m ready to wait – and I’m ready to fight for a place.”

Kenny Jackett urges Leon Clarke to impress

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Kenny Jackett has urged Leon Clarke to force his way into starting contention.

The powerful centre-forward has been playing a back-up role so far this season, but he could be in-line for a start against Blackburn at the weekend and Jackett wants him to take his chance.

“His aims are to try to get that number nine shirt and hang onto it,” Jackett said. “I’ve picked Nouha Dicko four times now.”

“For all of those players out of the team, I say to them when you get your chance, be ready.”

Clark: Scoreline harsh on Birmingham

Lee Clark says that the scoreline which his side were on the wrong end of last night was harsh.

The Blues lost 3-0 to Sunderland in League Cup action, but the Birmingham manager feels that the size of the Premier League’s side's victory does not represent how well his side played.

“It’s not a fair reflection of the game,” he said to the club’s official site. “We played well and the scoreline doesn’t do my players justice.”

Were Birmingham unlucky last night? Can Clarke take his chance?
