Report: Apple rumoured to announce wearable device in September

Apple iWatch Still

iWatch could be also be shown to the world at rumoured iPhone reveal next month

Apple rumours keep on coming. We heard recently that there’s talk of the company showing not one but two iPhones in September and now there are noises to suggest we can expect to see a wearable Apple device too.

This is according to a report on Re/code, suggesting wearable Apple smart-tech could be unveiled as soon as next month. Although there’s no suggestion what this new device may be called (iWatch is a hot contender).

It’s reported the new device could make use of Apple’s new "HealthKit" for iOS 8 which has been designed to collect health and fitness data from wearables.

The potential iWatch may also interact with Apple Homekit software - designed to control home appliances. Re/codes report also predicts the first Homekit enabled device will be a lock activated by your smartphone.
