QPR owner Tony Fernandes made a public show of support to his injured midfielder.
QPR midfielder Alejandro Faurlin has suffered a devastating injury blow, and not for the first time.
It was confirmed this morning that the Argentine has a third cruciate knee ligament injury in as many seasons.
He had started one of QPR's opening two Premier League games, coming on as a substitute in the other.
Once again it was a cup competition where he suffered the injury, during the loss to Burton Albion in midweek.
sad day for all of us at QPR.One of the greatest and nicest players at QPR @alefaurlin.Tomorrow is for you Ale.We love you. You will be back— Tony Fernandes (@tonyfernandes) August 29, 2014
Club owner Tony Fernandes took to Twitter to express his heartbreak at the news, and wish the 28-year-old well.
He was not the only one, with club goalkeeper Rob Green and Shaun Wright-Phillips also showing his support.
Absolutely devastated to hear the news about Ale. Can't believe it. Get well soon mate— Robert Green (@Robert1Green) August 29, 2014
Will Faurlin ever play for QPR again?
