Let's cast our eyes back to this exact day, the 30th August 2014, but a year earlier.
What were the main tales from that day? What big events were happening in Premier League football?
Here are some of the big scoops from the 30th August 2013…
Arsenal were ready to make a move for Julian Draxler, again. The Schalke 04 talent was available as he has a release clause of £37 million in his deal in Gelsenkirchen. Arsene Wenger was believed to be a massive fan of the young attacking midfielder and was ready to pay the fee. It soon looked like this was a deal that was set to be done by the close of the transfer window.
However Mesut Ozil soon became available and the interest in Draxler soon dissipated. Draxler went on to have a dire season with the German club and his interest and fee have significantly shrunk since. Although Arsenal do still keep track of the German international.
Manchester United's transfer horror show involving Ander Herrera got underway this time last year. They had a bid of £25 million rejected for the player, but were ready to return with a £30 million bid.
However the negotiations were a mess and United were rightly told where to go by the Spanish club.
Herrera stuck around and helped Bilbao qualify for the Champions League, but he finally got his move to Manchester United this summer - after forcing a move from San Mames.
Tottenham Hotspur signed Erik Lamela for a club record £30 million. The Argentine arrived from AS Roma - with the unfortunate weight of having to step into Gareth Bale's shoes.
He struggled in his debut term. The language barrier was an issue as was his persistent back injuries and he spent most of his time away from London,
But the arrival of fellow Argentine Mauricio Pochettino has seemingly reignited the flame under Lamela, who is looking like the player they spent all that money on ... finally.
Will Lamela star this season?
