PHOTO: Di Maria makes Manchester United debut, Neville tips him for success

Angel Di Maria

The £59.7 million signing appeared in United colours for the first time against Burnley.

It is a sight Angel Di Maria will have to get used to: players swarming around him to try and win back the ball.

For the Premier League is nothing like La Liga - and the physicality of it may just surprise the Argentine winger.

But the former Real Madrid man will likely handle his move to Manchester United with aplomb; it is perhaps the quality of his team-mates he will have to worry about, if his debut against Burnley is anything to judge by.

Former Man United and England defender Gary Neville certainly thinks so, anyway.

During the 26-year-old's first game in a United shirt, Neville tweeted that the difference between a United and non-United player is 'so obvious' and has tipped Di Maria to do well at the club.

Daley Blind looks as though he is also about to move to Old Trafford, after Ajax boss Frank de Boer congratulated him on his move to Louis van Gaal's side.

The 24-year-old can operate at wing-back and in central midfield, where Di Maria played against Burnley.

The Argentine's performance largely drew praise from onlookers, thought his impact was limited by a lack of support from team-mates.

Indeed, the rebuilding process has begun at Manchester United - but it remains to be seen just how successful it proves to be.

Now that the money has been spent, it is time to deliver on-field.

Is Neville right about Di Maria?
