Both strikers were team-mates of Hazard's at the Blues last term but have joined another side in blue, Everton.
Cameroonian Eto'o moved for free after Chelsea released him this summer, while Lukaku completed a £28 million switch to Roberto Martinez's side.
But 23-year-old Hazard says the pair are two of his closest friends, even though that may work against him when they meet later today.
"He has lots of experience; Roberto Martinez is Spanish and has Everton playing good football, so I think it will be a good move for him.
"Romelu is one of my best friends, like Samuel. They are both very nice guys, hopefully they will do well there but not well enough to beat us on Saturday."
Intriguingly, Chelsea could have done with either striker going into their clash with the Toffees, as Fernando Torres is set to join AC Milan on loan, while Diego Costa is currently suffering from fitness issues and may only feature coming off the bench.
That leaves 36-year-old club legend Didier Drogba as their only likely starter up front.
Reports suggest, however, that Jose Mourinho could bring Loic Remy in to replace the departing Torres before the transfer deadline passes on Monday night.
