'Ajax remains my club' - Daley Blind with heartfelt goodbye

Ajax

Daley Blind has obviously found it very difficult leaving his beloved Ajax behind.

Manchester United are set to complete a deal to sign Daley Blind in the next 24 hours. So far the club have not officially announced the deal, but the cat is out of the bag, Blind will be a Manchester United player this season.

He is set to arrive for a £13.8 million fee from his boyhood club Ajax, and today he left a heartfelt message to his beloved fans this afternoon on his Instagram account.

Blind, whose father Danny is also an Ajax legend, took to the social network platform to send the following message:

“Want to thank everyone for the wonderful years I’ve had from my 7th [year] to 24th! Supporters, team-mates, staff, thanks! Ajax remains my club.”

It is a feature of all those who have come through the Ajax system to remain attached to the club. It is certainly a similar situation at Manchester United. His experience of playing at a club where expectations are always extremely high will surely be a benefit for Louis van Gaal's men.

In time United fans will hope he feels the same way about them as he does his Ajax faithful.

Will Blind become a United star?
