Costume Quest 2 bundles original game in pre-order deal

Costume Quest 2 Screen 1

Double Fine's sequel to 2010's Halloween-themed RPG, Costume Quest, is now available to pre-order before it's October release.

If you boot up Steam today you'll see that pre-orders for Costume Quest 2 will net you a couple of nice little extras.

Paying £10.99 for Costume Quest 2 alone, will bag you the game, plus four classic costumes - Robot, Unicorn, Eyeball, and Pumpkin. However, if you fork out £14.99 for the 'Pre-Purchase Costume Quest 2 Bundle', you'll receive the game and the classic costumes, plus the original Costume Quest and the Grubbins on Ice DLC.

If you're unfamiliar with Costume Quest, it's an RPG developed by Double Fine, creators of Psychonauts, Brutal Legend, and more recently Broken Age.

In the game you play as one of two siblings during Halloween night, and you begin by setting off into your neighborhood to do some trick-or-treating. But when a monster appears and kidnaps your sibling, you set off on a quest to search the neighborhood in order to rescue them. Costume Quest uses adventure-style gameplay, mixed with turn-based combat during the battle sequences. During these sequences the children become huge versions of whatever costume they're wearing at the time - so, if you're equipped with a cardboard box robot costume you'll become a giant mech in battle.
