Report: Shinji Kagawa completes €8m move, signs four-year deal

Shinji Kagawa has reportedly completed his move from Manchester United to Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester United play-maker Shinji Kagawa has reportedly agreed a return to former cub Borussia Dortmund this weekend.

German newspaper Bild claims an agreement has been reached on Sunday that will see the Japanese international return to the Bundesliga for just €8million. That comes two years after Kagawa moved to Old Trafford for a reported €16million.

The report goes on to claim that Kagawa has agreed a deal with Jurgen Klopp’s side until 2018.

The news will disappoint those United fans who believed the player did not got a fair crack of the whip at Old Trafford.

Often played out of position or forced to spend the majority of matches on the bench, Kagawa only showed glimpses of what he could do – most notably when scoring a hat-trick in a home match against Norwich City.

He also shone against Bayern Munich last season, with Pep Guardiola’s side visibly nervous following his introduction; an indication of just how highly regarded he is in Germany.

And it seems he is now heading back there, which will surely please Klopp no end.

Expect him to be scoring and assisting in no time…
