10pm Deadline Day news: Featuring Welbeck, Ben Arfa, and McArthur

Danny Welbeck

Arsenal, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Hull City, Queens Park Rangers, Crystal Palace, and Southampton all feature.

Breaking news:

BBC Sport are reporting that Arsenal have agreed a £16 million fee with Manchester United for Danny Welbeck but it remains to be seen whether the striker will want to move himself.

Newcastle United defender Mapou Yanga Mbiwa has joined Roma on a season-long loan deal.

Crystal Palace have completed the £7 million transfer of James McArthur from Wigan Athletic.

Hull City are thought to be trying to conclude a deal to bring Hatem Ben Arfa to the club before the deadline. Frozen out of the Newcastle United team by Alan Pardew, Ben Arfa will be desperate for a chance of first-team football.

Hull are also in for Gaston Ramirez and a loan deal could be on the cards for the Southampton player.

Reports in Italy suggest that Manchester United have agreed a deal with Sampdoria for the transfer of goalkeeper Sergio Romero.

Tony Fernandes has admitted that it is looking less and less likely that QPR will be able to bring in Fabio Borini tonight. The Liverpool player had been on Harry Redknapp's radar with a fee of around £10.5 million quoted.

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has wished Micah Richards a fond farewell as he looks set to move to Fiorentina.

Ongoing developments:

Tom Cleverley has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford for the past few days, and Aston Villa seemed a likely destination at one point. However it is thought his wage demands curtailed the move, with the midfielder wanting £80,000-a-week.

Manchester United fans are anxiously waiting at the AON training ground at Carrington to see if they can catch a glimpse of Falcao but there is yet to be a sighting of him.

Manchester City are willing to let striker John Guidetti leave, and a possible destination could be Celtic. Sky Sports understands the two club are in discussions with regards to a loan deal.

Niko Kranjcar could be set to sign for Harry Redknapp yet again. The Croatian is currently at Loftus Road hoping to complete a move. The midfielder was on loan at the club last season.

Done deals:

Peterborough have signed highly-rated Hartlepool United striker Luke James on a four-year deal. The Posh looked to have signed another talented youngster with the potential to be sold on for a large profit yet again.

Daley Blind has completed his move from Ajax to Manchester United for a fee of £14 million and the Dutchman announced he can't wait to work with Louis Van Gaal at the biggest club in the world.

Ignasi Miguel has left Arsenal to join Norwich City on a three-year-deal for an undisclosed fee.

Arsenal winger Ryo Miyaichi has joined FC Twente on a loan deal.

Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Ezekiel Fryers from Tottenham Hotspurs on a three-year-deal.  The 21-year-old left-back will be hoping to make more of an impact with The Eagles than he did at Spurs.
