'Looks like a done deal!' - Fjortoft backs Holtby for Bundesliga return

Lewis Holtby

Jan Aage Fjortoft has suggested Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lewis Holtby will complete a move to Hamburg.

Bundesliga expert Jan Aage Fjortoft has backed Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lewis Holtby to complete a move to German side Hamburg.

The German midfielder has been tipped to link up with the Bundesliga outfit after a frustrating spell at Spurs which has seen him fail to break into the first team on a regular basis.

Holtby joined Fulham on loan last season, before they were relegated, and has also been linked with a move to Everton, which would allow him to stay in Premier League football.

While Fjortoft suggested Holtby’s switch to Hamburg looked like a ‘done deal’ he also commented that the move would do him some good as it will allow him to restore where he wants to head in his football career.

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rafael Van der Vaart, currently at Hamburg, said he would welcome Holtby to the club should he complete a move to the German outfit.
