Radamel Falcao

AS Monaco striker Radamel Falcao has landed in England ahead of his move to Manchester United on a one-year loan deal.

Radamel Falcao’s move to Manchester United is edging closer after the striker was spotted arriving at the Manchester airport earlier this evening.

The Colombia international will join the Red Devils on a one-year loan deal from AS Monaco, with the Premier League club having the option to make it permanent at the end of the 2014-15 campaign.

United will reportedly paid the Ligue 1 club a fee of £6 million for the services of Falcao for this season.

Falcao is now on his way to Carrington, Manchester’s training ground, where he will undergo a medical this evening and then sign on the dotted line.

The transfer of the former Atletico Madrid star to United is certainly the biggest story of the transfer deadline day.

The ex-Porto star suffered a long-term injury last season, but has already been among the goals for Monaco in the early stages of the 2014-15 campaign.

There have been suggestions that Falcao is not a player that United needed, but his addition to Louis van Gaal’s team is certainly going to make them a top-four candidates.
