Benjamin Stambouli has been pictured signing his Tottenham Hotspur contract ahead of his proposed move to White Hart Lane.
The French defensive midfielder is set to be unveiled as a deadline day transfer for Spurs and he has been photographed putting pen to paper today.
When the transfer is announced he is expected to sign in a £4.7 million from Montpellier.
The 24-year-old is a low profile addition, but the feeling is that he could be an excellent transfer and a shrewd purchase from Mauricio Pochettino.
Stambouli is touted as one of the best midfielders in Ligue 1 and, at the price which is cheap in the current market, he could be one of the bargains of the summer.
A tough tackling and robust player, he has the attributes suited to being a success in the Premier League and he is also technically adept enough to fit in with Pochettino’s demanding style of play.
He has been identified as a cheap alternative for Morgan Schneiderlin, whose proposed deal from Southampton is now off the cards.
Will Stambouli be a good addition at White Hart Lane?
