Liverpool winger Oussama Assaidi has completed his return to Stoke City on loan, having spent last season at the Britannia Stadium.

Liverpool have been splashing the cash since the sale of star striker Luis Suarez, and Brendan Rodgers has moved to vastly improve his attack with the arrivals of Adam Lallana, Lazar Markovic, Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert, and that has naturally led to exits.

Jordon Ibe has moved to Derby County on loan whilst Iago Aspas has joined Sevilla, but now it's Oussama Assaidi moving on - finally completing a return to Stoke City, which has been rumoured throughout the summer transfer window.

The Moroccan international winger spent last season on loan at the Britannia Stadium, and now with first team opportunities at a premium, he's back with the Potters after an injury to Nigerian international Peter Odemwingie - and Mark Hughes was happy to bring Assaidi back to the club.

"It’s unfortunate that we look like being without Peter for a while but following his setback we felt it was important that we moved to bolster the resources at our disposal," said manager Hughes.

"It’s clear from talking to Oussama that he really enjoyed his time with us last season and he’s looking forward to picking up where he left off with us."
