Valencia will loan Alvaro Negredo for the rest of the club season, according to the latest deadline day transfer news, as the La Liga club struck an agreement with Manchester City that includes an option to buy the Spaniard at the end of the duration of the loan.
Valencia's official website waxed lyrical over a player who "guarantees goals" and is a "world class striker".
The report said: "Valencia wishes to welcome the signing, we are excited about Negredo joining the team."
Negredo, 29, returned nine goals and three assists from 21 Premier League starts last season, but he was particularly efficient in front of goal before the Christmas period.
In his last year with Sevilla, the powerfully-built forward enjoyed his most productive period as he scored 25 times from 23 La Liga starts.
Negredo will be presented to the Valencian family tomorrow, Tuesday, September 2.
