We bring you the latest news from Leeds United, Huddersfield Town, Rotherham United and Sheffield United.

Nick Powell is reportedly a Leeds target

Manchester United youngster Nick Powell has emerged as a target for Leeds United, according to a report.

Emanuele Giulianelli is an Italian sports journalist, who has broken a number of deals involving Leeds this summer, and he believes that the Whites could be in for the 20-year-old.

The youngster has shown that he is a quality player at this level previously in his career and it appears that his next destination could be Elland Road.

The attacking midfielder is also wanted by Leicester City, but Leeds are hoping to provide competition to the Premier League newboys in signing Powell.

The former Crewe star has been made available for loan by United and would add significant quality at Leeds if he was to join.

Simon Grayson and Oscar Garcia on Leeds’ managerial shortlist

Simon Grayson and Oscar Garcia are on Leeds United’s list of candidates to takeover from David Hockaday, according to Sky Sports.

The two bosses are thought to be the front runners to land the Leeds job, which has become vacant after the sacking of Hockaday last week.

Grayson knows all about Leeds having managed their previously, but Garcia could also be an interesting choice.

The Spaniard did well in his previous job in England, guiding Brighton to a playoff spot, and if he could repeat that feat at Elland Road then it would be considered a major success.

Lillis backs Robinson to do well

Mark Lillis has backed Huddersfield Town’s most recent recruit, Jack Robinson, to do well at the club.

Robinson joined on loan from QPR last week and Lillis says that the full-back can impress in the Championship.

“Jack has been well schooled at Liverpool and with England Under 21s,” Lillis said.

“He knows the demands of this game, and as soon as I asked him if he’d do a job at right-back for me, he was up for it."

“He’s a good player and a very good addition to our squad.”

Evans will not panic buy

Rotherham United manager Steve Evans insists that the club will not panic buy on deadline day.

The Millers have been active in the window so far, but Evans has hinted that their spending could be over unless a player who can advance their squad becomes available.

“We’re not going to sign people who’re not better than what we’ve already got,” he said.

“It’s difficult to get people better than we’ve already got.”

Three arrivals at Sheffield United

Finally, it could be a busy day at Bramall Lane where Sheffield United are hoping to bring in three new players.

Nigel Clough has provided the board with a list of targets he thinks can improve his squad and is now hoping they are completed by the 11pm deadline tonight.

“All we can say is that these are the two or three players who we believe can make a real difference and then hope that we can bring them in,” he said.

Would Powell make a good addition at Leeds?
