Ronny Deila pleased the window has closed

Ronny Deila says that he is pleased that the transfer window has closed.

The Norwegian boss, who is already under pressure, feels that now he has a settled squad he can begin to assert more influence on them.

"It's a relief that the window is closed,” he said. “It is very important that I now know which players I have to work with."

"When the window is open, the speculation takes a lot of energy, not only from inside the group but also out of it."

"Now it is much easier to get the energy and the focus into the right things, and that is playing football."

Amido Balde leaves Celtic on loan

Celtic striker Amido Balde has left the club on a season-long-loan to Waasland-Beveren.

The 23-year-old forward has struggled to make an impact at Parkhead and his move to the Belgian side marks an end to a disappointing spell in Scotland.

Rangers loan out seven

Rangers have loaned out seven players on the fringes of their first team squad.

The youngsters all join teams around Scotland as Ally McCoist looks to trim his squad for the upcoming season.

Robbie Crawford, Calum Gallagher, Luca Gasparotto, Danny Stoney, Tony Walsh, Craig Halkett and Barrie McKay have all left Ibrox until the end of the year.

Nicky Clark wants to keep Kenny Miller out of the team

Rangers forward Nicky Clark wants to keep Kenny Miller out of the team.

The striker has replaced Miller, who has been out injured, in the ‘Gers starting line-up and he now wants to retain his place even now the experienced front man has returned to fitness.

"I am sure Kenny will be keen to get into the side now that he is fit once more, but my job is to make it as difficult as possible for him,” he said.

"I want to give the manager a headache and I will work as hard as I can in training and in the matches I am picked for to do that.”

Should Celtic have let Balde leave? Can Clark keep Miller out?
